oh the time approaches

its almost that time again. And of course my anxiety is growing. I contacted my donor yesterday and asked if he might be up for a multi-donation month. I am thinking, I am just going to go right crazy with the insemination this month. Yesterday was CD 12 of about a 30 to 32 day cycle. (I've been off lately). Lucky for me, he agreed to do this as much as we can until after confirmed ovulation. Our plan as it stands right now, is that we are going to have an insemination yesterday, Thursday, Friday, (maybe Saturday if I don't go away), Sunday and then until after I have for sure ovulated. It is going to be a long week. My poor donor. But he is a good sport and is very co-operative. I really appreciate him.

Good Weekend

I had a great weekend. We went to our very good friends Doe and Doe. It was a successful (yet stressful) event where they made a little money.
I of course, drank too much. (open bar event!) And decided that I was a professional figure skater and attempted a triple axle with my running shoes on. That did not work out, as i am not a professional figure skater. Totally twisted my knee. Could hardly walk yesterday. Today, I am lucky enough that I can walk on it even if it is painful.
I'm a silly silly girl when I drink. I do have to say it wasn't my fault. It was the fault of my other friends who kept buying me jello and butter shots all night.
Oh ya.. Did I mention. At one point, My pants fell right down around my ankles.

Bummer

Well Good ol' AF arrived today...
Poop.
the good news is that the next time I am ovulating, I should be away for the weekend, with my donor... so we won't have to miss the good time to do the job.

not the best luck these days

so.. just as Bennie's eye was looking normal again, he goes out for potties yesterday, and gets sprayed on the face by a skunk. Yep, the very first time it has happened. Now, Cookie, Bennie and the House smell terrible. We gave the dogs baths last night, and Cookie isn't as bad as Bennie, but Bennie still has a small odor. I have to admit to trying the "tomato juice" bath. I don't think it really did much. I have read on several Internet sites that Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda with a little dish detergent is the way to go. I'll try it on Bennie when I get home from work later. So, I smell like skunk. Must be from picking the dog up right away. It's not horrible horrible, but I would just rather not have any odor.
The thing I am worried about is getting the smell out of the house... any tips for that would be appreciated.

TTC UPDATE
Today is 8 or 9 DPO. And again, I haven't really had any symptoms. There are a few things that make me wonder, but then, I think those things are just completely normal and I just never really payed too much attention.
I am holding a small hope because I have read that a lot of women don't have symptoms until after 6 weeks, and that each pregnancy is different (I had really sore nipples last time right away). I just don't know.
I think I have relaxed a bit on the stressing. It'll happen.

Bennie....

Oh Bennie...

Poor little guy. We took him to the vet on Tuesday. The vet is certain that he has seasonal allergies. He got a shot of prednisone while there, and some prednisone/antihistamine pills to take. He has been on them since Tuesday and is doing so much better now. What a relief. The vet said that it is pretty much just a huge co-incidence that his allergies started acting up just after the whole other eye situation was occurring.
Dogs... sheesh...

Update

We returned from Ottawa at about 6pm yesterday. The drive was ok (I think, I was sleeping most of the way lol). Bennie was still very itchy all weekend. We started to think that maybe he has a severe allergy to the grass, because it seemed as though his itchiness would flare up after being outside. I remember last year around this same time, he was having some issues with his right eye and with being itchy. We still aren't sure what's going on. We're taking him (yet again) to see a vet tonight. We put the cone on him and that kept him from getting at his eyes, but he has now scratched all the hair off his leg, with his back paw. Hopefully we can get this worked out though. We don't really have the money for all this right now. Its all money we hadn't planned on spending.
So, we had a good time in Ottawa with my good friend Joanna. She always keeps us nice and active. Angela and I are in terrible shape. Joanna is 6 weeks from giving birth to her first child, and Ange and I couldn't keep up with her. LOL
We went to Gatineau park in Quebec to go to the beach. It was really nice. The water was so clear, and the weather was great.
It was nice to see Joanna and her husband Byron. I don't get to see them too often because of them living so far away. I imagine I won't be seeing them again until after the baby is born. I don't think they'll be travelling down here at all until then.

Did it.

I managed to inseminate myself this morning. Yay for me. It wasn't really as complicated as I thought, but I couldn't really aim. I think though just getting it in there should be good enough. I'm not too worried about it working or not working this month. I am indifferent. After I inseminated, I stayed in bed for about two hours. I had to get up at that point because I really really had to pee. So, when I wiped, (sorry about tmi) there was slight streaks of blood in the CM. I am hoping that is ovulation bleeding, I guess there is a possibility that something happened in there and I caused a slight laceration to the cervix as well, but we'll say it was from ovulation.
I have too much other stuff to stress about right now, so this baby will have to take a vacation from my stressing.
Bennie's eye was so much better, we were thrilled. This morning, All swollen again. I just don't know what to do with him. I am hoping he has just rubbed it the wrong way or something last night and that this isn't a major set back. He still has a week left of antibiotic medication, and some drops so we'll hope for the best. I went out and go him a "Elizabethan Collar" .. you know.. "the dreaded cone", to prevent him from scratching at it and making it worse. He hates it. I also trimmed his tail fur. I don't really know what that has to do with it, but I just thought that I should trip it. Really, his breed isn't supposed to have short tail hair, but I like it like that. I think it's cute. Well, we're off to Ottawa for the weekend.
We'll take Bennie with us, as we don't feel right leaving him with Ang's parents wish so many issues.

Sneaky this month

Well... it seems as though I have lost track of my cycle. Much to my suprise, I have this funny feeling that I will ovulate very soon. I peed on the stick today and it was as dark as the control line.
I managed to talk our donor into making his donation tomorrow morning, but I will have to do the process by my self (not too sure how that will work out but I just have to try) also, we are going away again this weekend, so just may be out of the running for this month. Funny enough, I'm not stressed about it.
