It's a boring life these days...

Nothing much has been going on these days. Ange has been training 35 hours a week for her new job for the last 2 weeks, as well as working close to 35 hours a week at her old job. Needless to say, I haven't seen her for almost two weeks. She doesn't even get this weekend off. I am off all weekend and looking forward to it. It's been a short week for me but I still feel ready for a break. We have a wedding to go to on Saturday, so at least we'll be able to spend some time together there.
The weather here has been gorgeous... All hot and humid, and I love it. I never had a/c growing up so now I don't usually feel like I need it. I do admit that there are few occasions that I can't get comfortable in the heat and think an a/c unit would be nice, but most of the time I can survive nicely. I am so hoping for a nice hot humid summer this year.
Although the extra pay from Ange working two jobs so hardcore is nice, I still miss her and would rather spend more time together

Midwives

I had my first appointment with the midwife today. It couldn't have come sooner for me. Sunday morning I had some light pink and brown spotting and it continued to this morning. It seems to have subsided now. The midwife says that it is fairly normal especially if it is only when wiping as well as after being intimate with your partner. She did the usual intake things and used the Doppler to try to find the heart beat. She couldn't find it. She asked the adminitrator to see if we could bump up my ultrasound to help put my mind at ease. Oh, they bumped it up alright and sent me over right away. How awesome is that? So I went to the ultrasound lab and they took me right in. The first thing the sonographer said was " baby's moving around" I had to clarify. I was so relieved. It's got a good heart beat and was really wiggling around in there. Later the midwives called to say that baby is developing normally.
Here he or she is

1 year ago today I lost my first little angel. I've been thinking about it all weekend. I carried her with me for 11 weeks and 1 day. Tomorrow marks 11 weeks 1 day with my new miracle.
It's hard to fully grasp that someone is in there growing. I mean peeing on a stick 9 weeks ago seems like so little proof of a real little baby growing.
I go for my intake appointment with the midwives next week. I don't know if they'll try to hear a heart beat or not. Ultrasound is on may 25. Two weeks tomorrow. I don't know if Angela will be able to come to that or not. It will be during her two week training period at her new job. She's unsure if they'll let her get away or not. If not my mom will come with me.

Funny how some things matter...

So, it's my Birthday today. I'm 33. Not in the least embarassed or whatever to admit it. Honestly, my birthday this year isn't important to me. I haven't really even given it a second thought. Well, I got a birthday email from my dad. He never remembers my birthday. It made me smile. It made my day.

Rainbows

Today has been a weird sort of day. I woke up to the sound of Angela paniking. She came flying from the bathroom, back into the bedroom, exclaiming "I can't go to work today, I have to go to the doctor or to the hospital!!" I jumped out of bed and put my glasses on, as she continued "come see this... It's disgusting!, but you have to see it." honestly I was thinking she had worms or had passed blood from her rectum. Nope! She had a small tick nesting on her ear. It was kind of freaky. We went to the doctor and he removed it. Drama over.
I then came to work. Been here for two and a half hours now but I just have no energy to do anything. I feel like I haven't eaten or slept in 4 days. I have done both of course. Sleeping isn't going so well but I do get some.
During dinner tonight we looked out the window to find this: (it's a rainbow if you can't see it)
