Quick Update

So many things to say, so little time to say it. I promised myself I'd be in bed by 10pm tonight. Umm ya- not happening. Well sort of. I am in bed now (11:27) but not sleeping. I've been having some trouble in the sleep department. I can't seem to fall asleep, and when I do I end up waking all night.
This combined with the cough I seem to be suffering from make for very sluggish days.
I've been feeling pretty stressed since being back to work with figuring out the routine and how to fit everything in, and think this could be part of the problem. I find it especially hard that angela's schedule is never predictable and so it's even harder to create a routine at home.
Ugh 5:30 will probably come just as I'm reaching the point of finally managing restful sleep. At least I am afternoon shifts on Wednesday and Thursday, so I know I will manage two nights of not bad sleep this week. I never have a problem when I don't have a set time to wake in the morning.
Isn't that the way it is though?
I can't take sleeping pills because they knock me out for the whole next day (worse than no sleep), and gravol gives me sore gums :(.
I'm going to try harder to blog more, hoping to get my stresses out at least. We'll see though.
I hate when I have so much to say but it never comes out the way I want it too. According to my boss I am a great report writer, why is it when it comes to here, my gracefulness and talent for writing dissapear?

Have you tried melatonin to help you sleep? I use it when I'm stressed and can't get to sleep and it's great. It doesn't knock you out but just helps you go to sleep and it also helps you go back to sleep if you wake up. I never feel groggy from it.

It's hard figuring out the routine especially when one of your schedules is unpredictable. I find it helps to try to keep a day open on the weekends to plan for the coming week - do a menu plan, grocery shop, figure out who's doing what, etc.

Shannon thanks for the tips! A planning day for the next week might just be what I need!
